When the pandemic started in early January 2020, there was this genuine desire to support our communities. We are living in unprecedented times, members of our communities have lost their livelihood, businesses and jobs due to this pandemic.

At TBI, we created this programme with the intention to provide creative solutions and knowledge from experts to navigate through these difficult times. 

The programme are a series of zoom workshops  focusing on key topics that are relevant for today’s challenging times. Offering practical tools to be utilised immediately to find your job and provide access to specialists in the most cost-effective way.

Details of the programme:

This course has been curated by The Barjis Initiative to support anyone who is in the pursuit to find their dream job. During these unprecedented times we need to adapt and stay flexible to reach our goals. The economic climate has changed and we need take an  innovative approach to find a job; which requires learning new skills, understanding yourself and your abilities as well as developing a  growth mindset to succeed in these troubling times.

Our aim was to create a programme that is easy to access, practical and gives the cohorts an opportunity to engage with the experts in different fields such as HR, Rituals & Habits, Emotional intelligence, Communication/Personal branding, Grooming for an interview, CV writing, Role play for Interviews and a Special guest speaker with 30 years experience in recruitment.

Each topic and expert has been carefully designed to ensure that we provide value, knowledge, insights and practical tools to support your job hunting.

Pre – Requisites: All participants should have good wifi connectivity and a laptop. A joining zoom link will be sent to each participant.

Please note: This course is educational, informative and provides tools to be implemented effectively. We do not guarantee you a job at the end of this course. Our aim of this course is to give you an edge – as you will have access to expert knowledge in the most cost effective way.

In this workshop we will introduce you to a different approach and guide you through some simple exercises to discover your talents and transform them into strengths to re-gain self-confidence and reach your life, career, or business goals.

Each participant will receive a free code for Gallup’s StrengthsFinder assessment (top 5 strengths) and a free individual coaching session to help them translate the assessment results into an individual development plan to set their goals and be able to achieve their goals.

Professional Background:

I have a Diploma in Professional Coaching Practice, A Certificate in Career Coaching and in A Certificate in Wellness Coaching – all accredited by the International Coaching Federation. I am also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation. I attach the credentials herein.

Aside of these I have an MBA from Hult International Business School and a BA in Chemical Engineering from Polytechnics University of Bucharest. I have over 20 years of working experience in marketing and communication in multinational companies in multicultural teams in Europe and Middle East.

Professional Background: HR Specialist with a wealth of experience on CV/Covering letter.

Biggest milestone: My biggest milestone was completing my Masters in HRM whilst working full time and deploying our new HR system across 13 countries, totalling 66,000 employees.

What I do in my spare time: I love spending time with my family, exercising and travelling.

My strengths: I love helping people reach their career goals. I am very adaptable to change and always like taking the initiative

My weaknesses: I would say my weaknesses are using excel. I am much better than before but still need a bit more practice to perfect my excel skills

Biggest Milestone:
Transforming my own life after a period of homelessness as a teenager. I was fortunate enough to have some hugely influential people around me who helped shaped a very different life path than what I could have easily gone down.

Family (wife and two very energetic young kids!), studying (Psychology Masters Degree) and running (love completing marathons and ultra-marathons)
